Mysuru: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shobha Karandlaje on Thursday May 19 questioned Senior Congress Leader and Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah if he has contributed anything at all to Mysuru region.

Speaking to mediapersons here she said that  “Siddaramaiah is suffering from an identity crisis and his survival in Congress is under threat. There is a cold war between him and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar. They are giving out different statements, Karandlaje said. “Siddaramaiah was Chief Minister for five years but could not make a concrete decision worth its salt. All that he tried to do was to split the society on communal lines. He did not take up any developmental works.”

She said, “Siddaramaiah’s contribution to Mysuru is nothing. The BJP Government is trying its best to solve problems here. People know what Siddaramaiah is and are tired of his double standards. The voters are unlikely to support him again.”

The Minister said, “Siddaramaiah keeps saying he would not contest elections again but it is just a gimmick.” Reacting to a query, she said, “I am privileged to be a Union Minister and I got a chance to visit most of the States in the country. Given this situation, I am not thinking of other options. There might be rumours but I have no idea.”
