Wild elephant strays to Tibetan settlement at Hunsur, creates panic

Mysuru: A wild elephant created panic among the locals here at Tibetan settlement in Hunsur where it was spotted.

For the last two days, the elephant was seen settled at a banana plantation and damaging crops. On being chased from the plantation, it entered the settlement creating chaos and feat among the locals. However, soon the forest officials were able to chase away the pachyderm.

According to forest officials, the elephant might have come from Nagarahole National Park.
