Mysuru: A parked school bus caught fire in Periyapattana near here on Wednesday December 22. It is said that the bus belongs to DTNM English School.
The bus driver dropped the students in the afternoon and drove the bus back to school premises. Just minutes after the parking, the bus caught fire and was completely gutted. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire. If the bus had caught fire while in motion more casualties could have occurred. As many as 4 other buses were also partly damaged owing to fire. Periyapattana police are investigating.
