Police advised not to succumb to any pressure

Mysore:Former Superintendent of Police Jayarama called upon the police force to work honestly and impartially during elections.

 

 

He was speaking after receiving the salute at the Flag Day Function held by Mysore City Police, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysore District Police and KSRP at CAR Parade Grounds here recently.
 
Jayaram said that police are known for their efficiency and there have been instances where police have solved difficult crimes within a few hours.  Police should not give into any kind of pressure and they should be compassionate with the complainants, he added.
He said the Police Welfare Fund is helpful to financially weak retired police officials meanwhile he lamented poor funds allotted to the same.

Retired police officials were honoured on the occasion. ASN Murthy, Director of the Karnataka Police Academy, Dr K Ramachandra Rao, Inspector General of Police, South Zone, Krishnappa, Commandant of the KSRP 5th Battalion and City Police Commissioner Sudhir were among those who were present on the occasion.
Honest and efficient Head Police Constable M G Ramesh was recommended for the Chief Minister’s Medal on the occasion.  Ramesh who is currently with the N R Mobile Police Station has been serving the police department since 1984. Many organizations like Lions and Rotary Clubs have felicitated him.
