Mysuru: The City Police Commissioner has issued an order asking the departments under his control to sanction leave to all policemen up to the rank of sub-inspector on their children’s birthdays.
The orders came in the wake of dipping morale among policemen, who toil round the clock forgetting their own families.
Realising the problem, Compol Subramanyeshwar Rao issued an order granting leave to all policemen up to the rank of sub-inspector on their respective children’s birthday to give some relief to the men on duty.
The order states that the leaves are compulsory and not optional like in other cases.
