Mandya: Announcing that the upcoming assembly polls will be the last election to be fought by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his son Dr Yathindra said that this last fight will be fought by the CM from Chamundeshwari constituency.

“Chamundeshwari constituency is close to my father’s heart because he fought his first election from this constituency. It is the same constituency that gave him political rebirth as well. There is no way that he can ever repay the debts to the people of this constituency, but this is going to be his last elections and he wishes to fight from this very same constituency,” he said.

Chief Minister represents Varuna constituency at present and with his wish to contest from Chamundeshwari being quite clear, it is now believed that Siddaramaiah is pitching Dr Yathindra for Varuna constituency.

Speaking to reporters Yathindra said that there is immense pressure on him to fight from Varuna constituency and a call in this regard will be taken by the party high command.

“I will not pressurize or lobby for the ticket. If I am granted a ticket I will surely contest and work for the people,” he said adding that he has been working in Varuna constituency because his father, who is under immense work pressure cannot spare so much time in the constituency.
