Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha MP Pratap Simha known to create flutter in social media has yet again sparked public row by posting different Tipu’s photographs taken at Assistant Commissioner’s (AC) court in Bengaluru.
Tipu has been offered traditional items like flowers, fruits, vermillion according to Hindu tradition and then performed Puja to signify “conversion”, say analysts indirectly hinting at alleged forced conversions of his time.
Few others feel, it is a different way to criticise the state government-organised Tipu Jayanthi’ in the social media.
Whatever said and done, efforts are on to recall, revisit and even rewrite history to appease certain sections of the society purely on political grounds.
