On Wednesday afternoon, a 32-year-old man named Surendra Kumar sustained severe injuries when a large tree fell on him while he was riding his two-wheeler on Dewans Road in Devaraja Mohalla. Surendra, who resides in Kuvempunagar ‘M’ Block, was traveling from Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry towards Dewans Road when the incident occurred. The tree toppled onto the road, causing significant damage to two cars and an autorickshaw.

Surendra was struck by the falling tree as he made a turn, leading to serious injuries. He has been admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment.

The Devaraja Police have registered a case regarding the accident and have seized the two-wheeler involved. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the tree’s fall and the extent of the damages caused.
