Shimoga: In a recent development in Theerthahalli, a significant theft has been reported where four quintals of arecanuts were stolen from the residence of Devadas in Kalkoppa Karakuchi village. However, the authorities acted swiftly and managed to apprehend the culprits responsible for this crime.
The Malur police, who launched an investigation into the theft in their jurisdiction, succeeded not only in capturing the offenders but also in recovering approximately ₹80,000 worth of nuts. Furthermore, they managed to seize a Bolero pickup vehicle valued at ₹3 lakh that was used during the commission of this criminal act.
The individuals arrested for their involvement include Hanumanta, Abhishek, and Tukaraj from Shikaripura.
This operation was conducted under the guidance and leadership of DySP Gajanan Vamana Sutara and Malur CPI Sridhar. Their exemplary efforts have led to swift justice being delivered as those responsible for this act have been identified and detained.
