Siddaramaiah puts forth his assertive side as he now invites the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a public debate on the state’s treasury. This was after the Union Minister’s claim that the guarantee schemes have not turned into an empty house.
The chief minister stated that the home minister was merely trying to destabilize the guarantee schemes, further stating that if that is the case, the BJP should discontinue guarantee schemes in all states, even those that it governs.
Regarding the state’s treasury, the chief minister confidently said that he can prove that the scheme has not turned the it into the empty house that Shah suggests it to be.
He then challenged Amit Shah, making a claim on how the central government has recently been very unfair by not distributing enough money to the state, questioning him on whether this was a result of some hatred towards our state.
The minister even came forward to bravely accuse Modi of stealing from the schemes, while at the same time opposing them. By this, the Karnataka chief minister expressed his hurt and disappointment at what he felt was the hypocrisy of the BJP by opposing a scheme that was intended to reach out to the poor and the needy.
