Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions across the Central Business District (CBD) on Monday in view of the swearing-in ceremony of the newly inducted Ministers at the Glass House, Lok Bhavan.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4 pm, with several VVIPs, senior government officials and dignitaries expected to attend. To ensure smooth movement and maintain security, traffic restrictions will remain in force from 2 pm to 8 pm.

Key roads to remain closed

According to the traffic advisory, only authorised vehicles associated with the event will be permitted on the following roads:

Cubbon Road between BRV Junction and CTO Junction
Road stretch from CTO Circle to Lok Bhavan
Dr B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi from K.R. Circle towards Coffee Board Junction
Road from Balekundri Junction towards Dr B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi
Queen’s Junction towards CTO/Lok Bhavan
St Mark’s Road towards CTO Junction via Queen’s Junction

The police have also clarified that entry to Lok Bhavan will be restricted to invited guests, and members of the general public will not be allowed access to the venue during the event.

Motorists advised to use alternate routes

To minimise inconvenience, commuters have been advised to avoid the affected stretches and plan their journeys in advance. The Bengaluru Traffic Police have suggested alternative routes through Shivajinagar, Cunningham Road, Anil Kumble Circle, Nrupatunga Road, Vasanthanagar, Hebbal, Tin Factory Junction and the Outer Ring Road, depending on their destination.

Officials have urged motorists to cooperate with traffic personnel, follow diversion signs and allow additional travel time during the restriction period. Commuters are also encouraged to monitor official traffic updates for the latest information.
