Tumkur Health Officer Reassigned Amid Allegations; New Appointments Announced

Tumkur

Tumkur: In an unexpected move, Dr. D. N. Manjunath, the District Health and Family Welfare Officer in Tumkur, has been reassigned to a new position. Dr. B. M. Chandrasekhar, the former District Malaria Officer, has taken over as the new District Health and Family Welfare Officer.

Dr. Manjunath’s transfer follows allegations regarding his handling of critical issues, such as the rise of fake medical practitioners, lack of action against doctors reportedly working under the influence of alcohol, and poor management of primary health centres and taluk hospitals.
