In Lingarajapura village, two families from the Uppara Shetty community are facing social boycott due to different reasons. The boycott was imposed by the community elders. One family, led by Govinda Shetty, was boycotted after they built a new house, while the other, led by Siddaraju, faced social ostracism after a family member married outside their caste.
Despite the matter being brought to the attention of local authorities, including the police superintendent and deputy commissioner, no significant action has been taken. The families involved claim that although SP Kavitha sent police personnel to address the issue, no effective measures were implemented to resolve the situation.
