Addressing the media, Kundapur stated, “Raghupati Bhat, despite holding significant positions within the party, reacted unfavorably to being denied a ticket for the elections. His actions, including spreading false information, are not justified. We have forwarded our recommendation to the state committee for appropriate action, which may be implemented within days.”

Regarding the involvement of certain district committee members with Bhat, Kundapur mentioned, “Once disciplinary action is taken against Raghupati Bhat, we will also address the members associated with him.”

Karkala MLA and state BJP general secretary, Sunil Kumar, urged Bhat to announce his retirement from politics within 24 hours, warning of impending disciplinary measures otherwise.

Sunil Kumar emphasized, “If Bhat fails to announce his retirement, disciplinary actions will follow. Our focus remains on ensuring our candidate’s victory, and we await his decision. The party respects the verdict of the high command and is committed to rectifying any perceived injustice.”
