Udupi: In an inspiring academic achievement, S Drithi Poojary, daughter of a city bus driver, has emerged as the top scorer in her school in the SSLC examinations, securing 612 out of 625 marks with an impressive 97.92 per cent.
A student of Government Girls Pre-University College, Drithi’s success has brought pride to her family and institution, while also drawing appreciation from teachers and the local community.

Drithi is the daughter of Shridar Poojary (Annu), a city bus driver, and Bharathi Poojary. Despite coming from a modest background, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication and consistency in her academic journey.
She lives with her parents, younger sister, and grandmother, who plays a crucial role in supporting the family by caring for the children when the parents are at work. Her achievement stands as a testament to the strength of family support and personal perseverance.

Drithi began her education at a government school in Garadimajal before continuing at Government Girls High School and later at her current institution. She noted that these schools provide education comparable to private institutions.

Looking ahead, Drithi plans to pursue Science with Computer Science in her higher studies. She has set her sights on preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations, aiming for a career in civil services.
