A tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon at Parampalli near Kota, where Bhasker Poojary (55), a local fisherman, was washed away by high tidal waves while retrieving a fishing net.
Despite the prompt efforts of Coastal Security Police personnel who rushed into the water to rescue him, Bhasker could not be saved. His body was later recovered from the sea.
