Kaup: A bike rider narrowly escaped serious injury after his two-wheeler was hit by a private express bus near a petrol bunk in Kaup on Sunday.
The accident occurred when the express bus was travelling from Mangaluru towards Udupi. The bus collided with the bike as the rider was entering the service road.
Bike trapped under bus
The impact threw the bike rider onto the road, while the two-wheeler became trapped underneath the bus.
Local residents who noticed the accident immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the rider. The rider reportedly escaped serious injuries in the incident.
Kaup Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
