A tragic accident occurred in Brahmavara on Tuesday evening when a pedestrian, Ligori D’Souza (74), was struck by a container truck while crossing the road near Pooja Hotel, close to Dharmavaram Auditorium. The container truck was heading to Udupi from Kundapura when it hit Ligori.
Despite efforts to rush him to the Brahmavar Community Health Centre, Ligori succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Following the incident, the driver of the container truck reportedly fled the scene with the vehicle. Authorities are investigating the case and efforts are underway to locate the driver.
