The renovation of the historic Sri Hosa Marigudi temple, built entirely from stone, was officially inaugurated on February 25 with a heartfelt welcome extended to the priests. The event kicked off with the sacred Brahmakumbhabhisheka ceremony, followed by various religious rituals.

Under the guidance of Vedamurthi K G Raghavendra Tantri, the temple’s chief priests, including Vedamurthi K P Kumaraguru Tantri and Vedamurthi Srinivasa Tantri, led the rituals. The temple authorities, along with the Development Committee, Brahmakalashotsava Committee, and managing committee office bearers, warmly welcomed the priests who performed the ceremonies.

Following this, several rituals, such as Rithvilarvana and Vishwakarma Puja, were conducted. A series of Havan ceremonies, including the significant 24 Kayi Ganayaga, were also carried out, with the fire ignited using the traditional Arani Mathana technique.

Notable personalities attending the event included Dr. K Prakash Shetty, president of the Brahmakalashotsava Committee and CMD of MRJ Groups; MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, chairman of the Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee; K Vasudev Shetty, president; Nadikere Ratnakar Shetty, chairman of the managing committee; K Raghapathi Bhat, former MLA and president of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee; Santosh Shetty Inna Kurkil’Bettu, president of the Pune Committee; and Uday Sundar Shetty, chief treasurer of the financial committee, among many other distinguished guests.
