Two Arrested For Cattle Theft In Byndoor, Kundapura

Kundapura, Jun 23: Byndoor Police have apprehended two individuals suspected of stealing cattle near Manjunatha Hotel in Shiroor Pete, Byndoor Taluk, on the night of June 7. The theft occurred when the cattle were sleeping in a vacant plot opposite the hotel.

According to reports, Byndoor Police seized two vehicles and arrested the suspects, identified as Abdul Samad (27) from M Kodi and Abdul Rahman (25) from B Fatima Cottage in Kodi, based on CCTV footage provided by Sridhar Bijoor, president of Byndoor Namo Balaga.

SP Arun Kumar, along with DSPs Siddalingappa and Parameshwara Hegde, DySP Belliyappa K U, CI Savithra Tej, and SI Mesh from Byndoor Circle, coordinated the operation with technical support from the CDR Division.

The accused allegedly used a Mahindra XUV 500 and an EcoSport Ford car during the theft, along with two mobile phones and valuables worth approximately Rs 9 lakhs, all of which have been recovered by the police.
