Udupi: In an extraordinary act of devotion and discipline, Sushanth Brahmavar, Vice President of the BJP OBC Morcha, Udupi City, along with his wife Sanjana, handwrote the entire Bhagavad Gita in a stunningly short span of 5 hours and 30 minutes. The spiritual feat was performed as part of the “Koti Geetha Lekhana Yajna” hosted at the revered Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi.
Their remarkable accomplishment has now been officially entered into the India Book of Records, marking a proud moment for both the couple and the district.
Following the completion of the manuscript, the couple reverentially presented their handwritten Gita to Sri Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, expressing deep gratitude and spiritual dedication.
The ceremonial occasion witnessed the presence of several prominent local leaders, including Vijay Kodavoor, District President of BJP OBC Morcha; Lakshmish Bangera Malpe, President of Udupi City BJP OBC Morcha; Madhukar Mudradi, senior BJP leader; Subhashith Kumar, APMC President; and Radhakrishna Mendon, District President of the Sabarimala Ayyappa Sangha.
This spiritual and cultural event not only emphasized devotion but also highlighted the importance of preserving sacred scriptures through active community participation.
