Udupi: The renowned Kodavuru Shri Shankara Narayana Temple in Udupi’s coastal region celebrated its annual chariot festival with immense devotion and splendor. The temple’s majestic chariot, beautifully illuminated, marked the auspicious beginning of the festivities dedicated to Lord Shankara Narayana.

The rituals and ceremonies were led by chief priests, Hayavadana Tantri and Vadiraja Tantri, ensuring that traditional customs were upheld. As night fell, the procession transformed into a mesmerizing spectacle, featuring vibrant costumes, a gorgeously adorned horse, folk artists, and an array of musical ensembles, all enhancing the festival’s grandeur.

The celestial event was further elevated by an awe-inspiring fireworks display. A devotional dance offering was performed, adding a spiritual essence to the celebrations. Devotees were blessed with darshan of Rakteshwari and Nandikeshwara deities, while the offering festival unfolded in magnificent fashion, accompanied by soul-stirring music.
