Udupi: A tragic incident occurred near Nandalike Cross near Belmannu in Karkala Taluk, where a student walking along the roadside died after being hit by a two-wheeler.

The deceased student has been identified as Pranamya Shetty (14), a resident of Nandalike. Pranamya was walking along the highway towards the Lakshmi Janardhana Temple in Nandalike when the accident occurred. A speeding two-wheeler collided with her, causing severe injuries. She was immediately admitted to a hospital. However, despite treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
Pranamya was a 10th-grade student at Mulladka English Medium School. A case regarding this incident has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station.
