Government Encourages Aadhaar Pahani Linkage For Farmers

Karwar ; Tahsildar M.R. Kulkarni emphasized the importance of linking Aadhaar numbers with Pahani Patra for farmers in Siddapur. Speaking at a press conference held at the Tehsildar office, he revealed that the ‘Aadhaar Seeding’ campaign, aimed at connecting Aadhaar with farmers’ records, is underway across the state. Currently, 60% of the Aadhaar seeding process has been completed in the taluk, with the remaining 40% to be addressed.

The integration of Aadhaar with Pahani Patra ensures that farmers receive immediate updates if any changes occur in their land records. To complete the Aadhaar seeding process, an OTP (One-Time Password) is sent to the mobile number linked to the farmer’s Aadhaar card. Village accountants, responsible for Aadhaar seeding, play a crucial role in this process. Despite some reluctance from people to share OTPs, cooperation is essential to successfully link Aadhaar with land records.

Additionally, Tehsildar Kulkarni issued a warning regarding soil removal from hills adjacent to residential areas. During the rainy season, such actions pose a significant risk. He advised residents not to remove soil without proper authorization. In case of emergencies during heavy rains, individuals should promptly call the helpline for assistance.

On June 29, at 10:30 am, a ‘Janaspandan’ program will take place at Sankara Math in Siddapur. The event, led by MLAs, aims to address public grievances, and community participation is encouraged.
