Chennai, August 27, 2026: Doctors at MGM Cancer Institute have removed a breast lump from a 33-year-old woman using a vacuum-assisted technique, according to a press release from the institute.
The woman had been diagnosed with breast fibroadenoma and was found to have two benign masses in the same breast. One mass was located near the areolar region, while the other was present in the middle portion of the breast.

The medical team used a vacuum-assisted procedure to remove the breast lump, providing a minimally invasive option for treating the benign masses.
The technique enabled doctors to target the affected tissue without relying on conventional open surgery, according to the institute.
