In a move to prevent road accidents, the Vijayapura police have placed life-size cutouts of constables at high-risk zones along highways in Muddebihal and Talikoti. These cutouts aim to prompt drivers to slow down, especially at accident-prone spots. Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonawane explained that this cost-effective initiative reflects at night and enhances police presence. With 14 cutouts in Muddebihal and 10 in Talikoti, police are piloting the project for six months, analyzing its impact on reducing accidents.
