Siddaramaiah to Stay: Minister Rebuffs CM Rotation Rumors

Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao Directs Urgent Repairs On Dakshina Kannada Highways

Vijayapura: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has clarified that there was no such agreement that after two and half years Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be replaced. He questioned the reporters “Who said there was an agreement to change the CM after two and a half years?.”

Speaking to reporters about the issue of CM change, he said, “We can’t do anything if it’s discussed publicly. It’s not a matter for public discussion. Siddaramaiah is our CM. He’s a good administrator. When we have a CM, there’s no question of change. Why should there be a change?” he questioned.

Currently, there’s no CM change in the state. There’s no discussion about this. The issue of CM change is irrelevant now. Others may say whatever they want, that’s their personal opinion. What I’m saying is the Congress party’s stance. Others have expressed their personal views. Vokkliga Swamiji has expressed his personal opinion. “I can’t comment on what others have said,” Dinesh said.

Speaking about the demand for an additional DCM, he said, “There’s no faction in Congress. Some have expressed their opinions. Rajanna is a Siddaramaiah’s fan, so he said that. We can’t do anything about it. Why should there be a CM change? Isn’t he a popular leader?” he questioned.
