A weather study payload launched by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad, has safely landed in a field in Chadachan taluk, Vijayapura district. The scientific instrument, which is part of a weather study project under the Department of Atomic Energy, descended with the aid of a parachute.

The district administration has promptly informed TIFR about the landing. A team of officials from the institute is expected to arrive in Vijayapura soon to retrieve the parachute, payload, and associated equipment from the field.
