Yadgiri: A shocking incident of violence has come to light in Shahpur, as a forest officer was brutally killed by a gang of five individuals.
The tragic event unfolded at a restaurant in Motagi on June 5, resulting in the death of Mahesh Kanakatti, the forest officer. According to reports, the group of five, who were intoxicated, got into a heated altercation with the victim at the bar. The attackers assaulted him with a hammer and assaulted him brutally and he died while on the way to hospital.
The local police initially announced Mahesh died a natural death. But the wife of the deceased Nagaveni expressed doubt over her wife’s death. Later the intense investigation and examination of CCTV footage revealed the the officer was indeed murdered.
The police arrested Raju, Rekhu Naik, Tara Singh, Narsing, and Prakash. The Shahpur police have registered a case are actively conducting an investigation into this tragic incident.
