INS Vikramaditya lights up in Karwar to show gratitude to Corona Warriors

Karwar: The Sea Bird Naval base in Karwar is gearing up to show its gratitude to the Corona Warriors, on Sunday evening.

In the evening hours, Naval ship INS Vikramaditya, at sea on the coast of Karwar will light up and fire flares to show solidarity with the efforts of Corona Warriors.

The same will also be done in Mumbai, Porbandar, Vizag, Chennai, Kochi and Port Blair.

On Sunday morning the Indian Armed Forces held fly pasts, showered flower petals on various COVID-19 hospitals across the country to show gratitude to the Corona Warriors like the doctors, nurses, other frontline health workers and the police.

INS Vikramaditya, in Karwar has already been embellished with lights for one of its kind occasion, said Sea Bird Naval Base Public Relation Officer Ajay Kapoor.

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat on Friday announced that the three services will carry out a series of activities to thank the “corona warriors”.
