Karwar: The flaws haunted Karnataka State University has been resolved and UGC as accredited the varsity. Hence, we started admission to various courses since September 1", said vice-chancellor, Prof. S. Vidyashankar.
He addressed the media here at Pathrika Bhavana and mentioned, "students who enrolled faced difficulty due to affiliation issues. Now we have made a provision to complete their degrees those enrolled since 2001. We have added a few more courses this year and I assure students to get admission without any fear."
"In Karnataka, only KSOU is providing distance education and no other university doing it as per Govt. order. Students have a facility to learn through new-gen platforms like official App and websites along with the radio. Aspirants can avail degree from KSOU with a very minimal fee." he added.
"24 alumni of KSOU cleared the KAS exam and we are engaging them in creating awareness among people about distance education. There is no much difference between regular courses and distance education. Here we provide marks card via email" he explained. Regional Director of KSOU, Sudhakar Hosally was present during the press meet.
