IPS Officer Captain Malachira A. Aiyappa Appointed Joint Director at BCAS

Madikeri, June 17: Captain Malachira A. Aiyappa, a distinguished IPS officer and native of Kodagu, has been appointed as the Joint Director at the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). This bureau operates under the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India and plays a crucial role in safeguarding civil aviation security across the country.

Career Highlights

Captain Aiyappa, belonging to the Malachira family from Balele village in Ponnampet taluk, Kodagu district, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He served as a Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Karnataka Lokayukta and has a background as an ex-serviceman in the Indian Army, where he served as a Short Service Commissioned Officer for 7 years before joining the Karnataka State Police force in 2012.

Diverse Experience

Throughout his career, spanning various postings including Tumakuru, Bhatkal, Mysuru, and Bengaluru State Intelligence, Captain Aiyappa has demonstrated his leadership and dedication to public service. He has also previously served as the SP of Kodagu district.
