Kodagu district has achieved a remarkable improvement in the II PUC results this year, rising to fourth place in Karnataka with a pass percentage of 83.8%, up from fifth last year. Out of 4,697 students who appeared for the exams, 3,938 successfully cleared them.

In the arts stream, 516 out of 786 students passed, posting a 65.6% success rate. The commerce stream saw 2,027 students qualify out of 2,376, with a notable 85.3% pass rate. The science stream led the way, boasting the highest pass percentage of 90.8%, with 1,395 of 1,535 students clearing the exams.

Among private candidates, 121 out of 250 passed, bringing the pass rate to 48.4%. Meanwhile, only 24 out of 121 students cleared the supplementary exams, resulting in a 19.8% pass rate.

District DDPU Manjula highlighted the top performers who brought pride to Kodagu:

  • Afia Sharif BM from St Joseph College, Madikeri topped the arts stream with 572 marks.

  • Dimpal Thammaiah CM from Suntikoppa St Mary College led in commerce with 591 marks.

  • TV Vaishnavi from Gonikoppal Vidyanikethan College topped the science stream with 588 marks.

  • The performance marks a significant academic stride for the district and reflects consistent improvement across all streams.
