A horrifying crime has shaken the town of Mulabagilu in Kolar district, Karnataka. Sushilamma, a 50-year-old woman from Palligarapalya, was brutally murdered and sexually violated by auto driver Seyyed Suhail. The incident took place in Hydari Nagar, a remote area of Mulabagilu, where Suhail allegedly killed Sushilamma on September 24 and later confessed to committing necrophilia.

Sushilamma had gone missing, prompting a police search. Her body was discovered in a secluded spot, and CCTV footage revealed Suhail transporting her in his auto. After his arrest, Suhail admitted to the heinous crime. Locals have described him as mentally disturbed, though authorities are still awaiting a formal psychiatric evaluation.

This tragic event has deeply unsettled the community, especially women who rely on auto-rickshaws for transport. Fear and outrage have sparked demands for stricter safety measures, better regulation of public transport, and background checks for drivers.

The Kolar police, led by Superintendent B Nikhil, have promised swift action and a thorough investigation. Meanwhile, residents are left grappling with the brutality of the crime, calling for justice and improved safety for women.
