Kolar: Tragedy struck Minjenahalli village, located under the Mittur village panchayat of Urukunte taluk, when it was reported that a resident, Venkataramanappa (50), died after consuming contaminated water. The unfortunate incident has also resulted in several individuals falling ill and being hospitalized at SNR Hospital.
The water supply, allegedly connected to houses from the village panchayat tank, is believed to be the source of contamination. However, Panchayat PDO Padma has refuted these claims, stating that tests conducted on the water have confirmed no contamination. The PDO further mentioned that a visit by the Taluk Health Officer (THO) also corroborated these findings.
Despite conflicting reports regarding the cause of illness and death, authorities are investigating this tragic situation to ensure public health and safety in Minjenahalli village.
