Udaipur: When Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna tied the knot earlier this year, the internet was instantly captivated. While the outfits, décor, and venue drew widespread admiration, it was the wedding photographs that truly turned the celebration into a viral moment.

Behind those widely shared images was House on the Clouds, led by founder Siddharth Sharma, who recently revealed what went into capturing the now-iconic visuals.

No staging, just real moments

Contrary to what many might assume, the viral images were not carefully staged or orchestrated.

According to Sharma, the team approached the wedding like any other assignment—focusing on observation rather than direction.

“Nothing was intentional. It was just a wedding, and we were shooting it,” he said, emphasising that the authenticity seen in the images came naturally rather than through planning.

Letting the couple’s vision lead

One of the key aspects that shaped the final output was the couple’s own clarity of vision. Instead of relying on detailed shot lists or rigid briefs, the photographers worked around what the couple had already envisioned.

Modern weddings, Sharma noted, are increasingly driven by the couple’s personal aesthetic—from outfits to décor and overall mood. The role of the photographer, then, becomes one of understanding and capturing that vision rather than imposing one.

“There was no brief as such. Every couple today knows how they want their wedding to look,” he explained.

Capturing emotion over perfection

Rather than chasing picture-perfect frames, the focus remained on documenting genuine emotions—moments shared between the couple, their families, and close friends.

The absence of strict instructions allowed the team to rely on instinct and timing, which ultimately gave the images their natural, effortless quality.

“It wasn’t staged. It was a very pure, organic wedding. We wanted that authenticity to reflect,” Sharma added.

The viral ‘Shiv–Parvati’ moment

Among the many images that circulated online, one particular photograph sparked widespread attention, with fans drawing comparisons to the divine pairing of Shiva and Parvati.

Interestingly, Sharma revealed that this interpretation was entirely organic and not something the team anticipated.

“For us, every wedding is normal until we see social media reactions,” he said, adding that the comparison only came to light after the images were shared online.

A wedding that felt real

Held in the scenic city of Udaipur on February 26, the wedding was an intimate affair attended by close friends and family, followed by a reception in Hyderabad on March 4.

What set it apart, however, was not just the scale or setting, but the authenticity of the moments captured—something that resonated deeply with audiences.

Conclusion

In an era where weddings are often meticulously curated for social media, the Vijay–Rashmika celebration stood out for its simplicity and emotional honesty.

The viral success of the photographs serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most powerful visuals are not the most planned—but the most real.
