Puttur: An information and demonstration of agriculture and carbon fibre harvesting pole was held for the farmers of Raita Mitra Koota, Kolthige here at District Organic Farming Award winner Ganapathi Bhat Ekkadka’s residence.
The programme was presided by Diwakar Rai Keremoole who is the President of Raita Mitra Koota, Kolthige. CA Bank President Vasanth Kumar Rai inaugurated the programme. Eco Fresh Enterprises Belthangady owner Rajesh Hegde gave information on carbon fibre harvesting pole. Nagaraj Bhat Bedadka demonstrated how to pluck mangoes, arecanut and coconut.
CPCRI, Vittal Agriculture Scientist Dr. Bhavishya gave information on various diseases affecting arecanut and about spraying disinfectant.
