Mangaluru: Puttur Navateja and JCI will jointly organise ‘Jackfruit and Fruit Mela’ at Sukritindra Auditorium near Sri Lakshmi Venkataramana Temple on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26.
Apart from jackfruit, other fruits too will be exhibited at the mela. Special varieties of jackfruit saplings can be purchased at the mela and a jackfruit cutting device too is made available here.
The live attraction of the mela is the variety of jackfruit dishes. The famous red jackfruit of Tiptur will be available at the mela along with other varieties.
Jackfruit undla dal, chips, papad, dosa, manchuri, kebab, mulukya, juice, sole roti, cake, halwa, semige, buns, pulao, payasa, sonte, kottige, tuber, podi, mambala, fruit ice cream, jackfruit seed holige, and fruit holige are some of the varieties that can be enjoyed at mela.
