Puttur: The swelling of Kumaradhara – Netravati River has made the locals fear for their lives. The locals are scared of likely floods as the water level has been increasing by the day in the rivers.
The intensity of the rains can be gauged by the fact that the bathing bay at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has been inundated in water for past four days with water coming upto the gates. Home Guards personnel have been deployed near the River for devotees’ safety.
It is witnessed that devotees have been having holy bath from afar.
