Puttur: St Philomena College‘s students’ council organized ‘Philo Forte-2024,’ a cultural extravaganza in the Silver Jubilee Hall on April 23, 2024.
Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Principal of the College, inaugurated the event aimed at extracting the hidden talents among the students.
During his opening remarks, Dr Monteiro highlighted the importance of such platforms for budding artists, especially as a let-off from the usual academic pressures of exams and assignments. coordinating a diverse and enriching cultural program.
Vice-Principals, Dr. Krishna Kumar PS and Dr. Vijaya Kumar M, along with Office bearers of the students’ council, Bipin, Samruddhi Shenoy, and Raksha, attended the inaugural ceremony.
He commended the students’ council for their efforts in coordinating a diverse and enriching cultural program.
The event began with a prayer by Prapti Rai and her team. Brinda BG of III BCA compered the program.
Dr Chandrasee featured a display of performances, including the classical dance form Bharata Natya, melodious vocal performances, and energetic western dances, all performed by talented students from the college.
