Puttur: National Cadet Corps 3/19 KAR BN NCC, Army Wing, 5 KAR Naval NCC and the National Service Scheme came together to organize the National Integration Week on 25 Nov 2023, at St Philomena College Puttur. The esteemed program was presided over by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of the college.

Addressing the Cadets, Rev. Dr Monteiro emphasized the paramount importance of unity transcending religious, caste, regional, and communal boundaries. He underscored that without unity and integrity, achieving collective goals becomes unattainable.

The day holds significance as it commemorates the birth anniversary of the late Indira Gandhi, first lady Prime Minister of India and the Iron Lady of the nation. Dr Monteiro urged everyone to reflect on her contributions to the nation and the enduring lessons of unity and integrity she exemplified.

Highlighting the essence of unity and integrity, Dr Monteiro expressed confidence that understanding the profound meaning of these words would greatly benefit all participants in the program. Participants took a pledge administered by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, marking the occasion with a commitment to fostering unity.

Vasudeva, the NSS Program Officer, extended a warm welcome and provided introductory remarks. Capt Johnson David Sequeira, NCC Officer Army Wing, proposed vote of thanks. C/T ANO Thejaswi Bhat compered the program.

Pushpa N, NSS Program Officer, was present. A hundred NSS volunteers and 130 NCC cadets participated in the event.
