In a tragic road accident between Keregodu village and Marilinganadoddi in Mandya taluk, a couple lost their lives, but their family members showcased remarkable compassion by consenting to donate their organs amidst grief.
The deceased, identified as C. Manju (46) and his wife H.S. Suneela (40), residents of Chikkabanasawadi near Keregodu village, were involved in the accident. While Suneela tragically passed away on the spot, Manju, critically injured, was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The incident occurred when the couple was en route to a temple in Keregodu village on their motorcycle, and a car collided with them from behind near Marilinganadoddi.
After Manju’s demise, doctors sensitively approached the grieving family members, emphasizing the significance of organ donation. In a testament to their altruism, the family consented to donate Manju’s organs.
