A 17-year-old boy was viciously attacked by a group of minors in Karnataka’s Mandya district, with the assault being recorded and uploaded online.

The incident took place on February 16 near a cemetery under Mandya East Police Station limits. The perpetrators, aged between 14 and 17, allegedly lured the victim to the secluded area before attacking him with sharp weapons in a late-night ambush. The video, which was live-streamed on social media, sparked widespread outrage.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the attack stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the victim and the group. Based on the boy’s statement, police have identified the accused and are actively working to apprehend them.

Meanwhile, authorities have warned against circulating the footage online. The case has reignited concerns over youth violence and the misuse of social media for criminal activities.
