In a recent statement, Opposition leader R. Ashok made serious allegations against the state government, claiming it is supporting Muslim terrorists from Kerala. Speaking to reporters in Mandya, Ashok criticised local elected representatives for what he described as an anti-Hindu stance.
He referred to recent incidents, stating, “First, they disrespected the Hanuman flag, and now there have been reports of stones and bombs being thrown during the Ganesh festival.” Ashok stressed that Mandya has a 95 per cent Hindu population, arguing that the Congress government is out of touch with the sentiments of the local community.
He also pointed out that a case has been filed against an opposition leader amid rising tensions. Ashok condemned the Congress for its handling of the Ganesh Murthy dissolution, claiming that they failed to make adequate security arrangements.
“Since the Congress government took over, Muslim communalists feel emboldened, and it appears that Congress members are supporting them,” he concluded, calling for a reassessment of the government’s actions.
