Mandya: In a swift move following clashes during a Ganesha immersion procession in Nagamangala, Mandya district, the town’s police inspector, Ashok Kumar, has been suspended. Home Minister G Parameshwara, addressing the media on Friday, elaborated on the reasons behind the suspension. “The police inspector had slightly altered the route of the procession. Officials and police officers across the state have been informed that they will be held accountable for any incidents occurring within their jurisdiction. Given that negligence was evident in this case, Ashok Kumar was suspended,” he said.
