DYFI demands waiver of electricity bills for three months

Mangaluru: The Ullal unit of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has urged for the waiver of three months’ electricity bills, claiming that the people are unable to bear the load due to the lockdown.

A delegation of the DYFI met at the MESCOM office in Thokkottu, Chembugudde and submitted a memorandum seeking a waiver of electricity bills for three months. They also demanded that the public not be compelled to pay the bills for another six months and extend the due date.

DYFI Ullal Zone president Ashraf K C Road, secretary Sunil, and members Nithin Kuttar, Razak Montepadavu, Ashfaq Alekala and others were present.
