Mangaluru: In order to prevent occurrence of any unpleasant incidents on the occasion of Bakrid more than 25 check posts have been set up under police commissiarate limits, said Mangaluru City Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar.
Addressing media persons on Saturday July 17, Shashikumar said that apart from police stations under Commisserate limits, the borders at Udupi and Kasargod region will also have check posts in order to facilitate a peaceful Eid celebration, he added.
Shashikumar informed that all religion peace meet in the presence of religious heads have been held and police protection will be given in and around all the religious centres. As per the government order, no permission to offer prayers at public places or Idgah will be granted, commissioner clarified.
