Mangaluru: A vaccination campaign was held on Monday at the Vanitha Achyut Pai Auditorium in Konchadi by the Youth of GSB.
The inaugural event was chaired by Civil Welfare Committee Chairman Hanumantha Kamath, Ganapathi Pai of Paisales, Prashant Pai, trustee of Sri Venkataramana Temple, Konchadi, businessman Vasudev Kamath, Youth of GSB Convener Mangalpadi Naresh Shenoy, Naresh Prabhu, Chetan Kamath were present.
More than 700 citizens took part in the campaign, registering their names online. Those who have BPL cards were given a free vaccine through the sponsorship of Puzzolana, Telangana.
Youth and GSB arranged morning breakfast and lunch for everyone who arrived. Doctors and staff at KMC Hospital assisted in a vaccination drive in one medical emergency room and two vaccination booths.
MLA Dr Y Bharat Shetty, Pradeep Pai, owner of Hangyo Institute, Mayor Premananda Shetty, former minister Krishna J Palimar and others greeted the campaign.
