
Mangalore’s Varun D’Costa Wins Mr. Teen Super Globe 2024 in Thailand
Mangaluru: Varun D’Costa, a rising star from Mangalore, has clinched the prestigious Mr. Teen Super Globe title. The competition, held in Thailand, is a renowned global event in fashion, modeling, and talent, drawing participants from around the world for a series of talent rounds, grooming sessions, and ramp walks over three thrilling days.
The Mr. Teen Super Globe competition is a significant international event, where each participating country hosts its national competition to select its representative. This year’s event in Thailand featured contestants from diverse countries, including the United States, Lebanon, Armenia, UAE, Oman, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, and more.

Varun’s journey to the global stage began at the national level in India, where he competed against contestants from across the country in a similar fashion and talent competition. His outstanding performance led to his victory, earning him the honor of representing India on the international stage. Varun’s triumph is a proud moment for Mangalore and the entire region.
Currently a student in the 8th grade at St. Joseph’s High School, Bajpe, Varun has already made a name for himself, excelling in various dance competitions and participating in ad shoots. His success is a result of relentless dedication and the unwavering support of his parents, Lidiwin D’Costa and Vincent D’Costa.
Varun’s preparation for the international competition was intense and involved guidance from a host of renowned trainers and collaborators, including VJ Dixon, Yashashwini Devadiga, Sudhir Ullal, Pramod Alva, Kaushik Suvarna, Sumith, Suresh Mukund from Kings Dance Academy, Shakti Mohan from Nritya Shakti, Big Dance Centre, Spotlight Academy, Terrance Lewis Dance Academy, Swetha Arehole, Nithin from Twister Dance Academy, Charan from Ocean Kids, Nicky Pinto from NP Studio, Naveen Aryan from Aryan Studio, and Jordan and Lavance from Mumbai. His designer wardrobe was crafted by Hero Pinto Couture.
Adding to the significance of Varun’s victory, Yashashwini Devadiga, who won the Miss Teen Super Globe title last year, also hails from Mangalore, creating a sense of continuity in the city’s achievements on the global stage.
