Mangaluru: AJ Hospital and Research Centre inaugurated the second batch of its Geriatric Caregiver and Home Health Aide Course, strengthening its commitment to improving elderly care and offering vocational training for aspiring healthcare professionals.

Orientation and Inauguration

The orientation program began with a prayer and a ceremonial watering of a plant, symbolising growth and nurturing. Faculty, students, and dignitaries attended the event, highlighting the importance of quality training and caregiver empowerment.

Course Objectives

This course aims to equip participants with the skills required for professional elderly care, whether in homes or assisted living settings. It also provides vocational opportunities for early school leavers and pre-graduates, fostering sustainable livelihoods.

AJ Hospital and Research Centre is the first hospital in coastal Karnataka to be certified as an Approved Training Provider for these programs.
